Inch Worms and Eggs

We were looking for mushrooms in the woods when we found an inchworm on my mom's skirt. It looks like a stick from a tree.  They have very sharp claws.  We found no mushrooms, but we found some fiddleheads.  We didn't eat them.

This is a small egg and a bigger egg.  The small egg came from my chicken, Feathers.  We think this was her first egg.  The big one is from another hen in the coop.  This is the difference between a first egg and a regular egg.

Spring Flowers

It is Spring!  These are beautiful flowers found in our garden, at home!  They are pretty aren't they.  They won't be here all year, but other flowers will bloom.  These are Daffodils.

Playing and Working

I am working so hard digging the tube (pipe) and concrete out of the ground.  It was so hard.  I was sweating.  After that, I got some tea for Daddy, me and Eli. It was a little fun!
That was fun!  I like going to Slate Run Park.  It's fun there.  It's like the funnest park I ever went to.  We didn't see anyone there.  And after that, we saw 3 or 4 people.  We walked around and played and we went to the pond.  There was a lot of moss.
It looks like I'm eating a chick, but I'm kissing it.  Fake kissing it.  I could feel it's feathers on my lips.  It was very funny.  By: Samuel

Making Rockets

I made rockets.  I used; one paper match, aluminum foil, and two pins or sewing needles.  To make a rocket you must, remove a single match from the matchbox, cut a piece of foil slightly less than 1 inch squared.  Place the foil on a flat surface.  Next, place the pins on either side of the match head.  The pins are like a form or mold for the exhaust.  Wrap the foil around  the head of the match.  Carefully remove the pins from the rocket.  Lay the rockets on a brick with the brick tilted up a bit.  Take another match and light the end with the foil.  Watch it shoot.

I am bored here.  I am getting ready to move sod from the garden.

days at home

Here's Lucy!  She's grown very big!  She looks like a little dinosaur!
There was a storm on Monday.  We flew kites and my kite got stuck in a tree.  It was easy to get out.
We put our chicks on our shoulders.  We put paper towels on our shoulders so they wouldn't drop bomps on us.
Here's Tiger Lilly.  She's missing.  She's been missing since Thursday morning.  I hope she's ok.  I miss her!

Sharing

This is me with my chicken, LadyBug.  She is a hen who lays about 1 egg a day.  She is a good chicken who likes to be held, but can get a little flappy with her wings. We have over 2 dozen eggs right now.  Guess we're having eggs for breakfast tomorrow.
Here are some pot holders I made.  I made them for Ma.  The one with the big flowers works the best.
We went to Slate Run and took a walk to the pond.  This is a yucky pond with algea.  We were looking for frog eggs.
This is Thumper, my bunny.  I'm going to use him for 4H, BUT NOT FOR EATING!  He'll be used as a breeding rabbit. I'm going to get two does soon.  A couple baby rabbits will go to the fair to show as a meat rabbits.  I am having a pet show in this picture, for Mommy, Noah, Samuel and Eli.
